“Roundback” style housings
A clean, new 9″ housing for your street rod or cruiser – without the Marketplace headache.
A new 9″ roundback housing with a smooth, clean profile; the look you want under a hot rod, street rod or cruiser. We weld tubes into a new base housing to your width. No hunting for a second-hand one that’ll cost almost as much to clean up and narrow as buying new.
We set these up with our floater kits in mind, so you get a housing and hub assembly that’s matched from the start. When we’re fitting floater ends and brackets, the housing is fully customisable to your width and application. We can also supply them bare at a standard length if you want to fit your own flanged or floater ends and brackets. Back braces aren’t available on this style, so if your build needs that kind of reinforcement, have a look at our sheet metal range.
All housings include the following:
- New round rack 9” base housing with 3″, 1/4″ wall tubes fitted
- Housing studs fitted
- Fill and drain fitted
- Nuts, filler plug, drain plug and breather fitting.
Options:
- With Race Products floater kit ends and brackets fitted – fully customisable to your width and application
- Bare housing – supplied at standard length for customer fitment of ends and brackets
*Professional installation recommended

Our Round Back 9” housing is a great option if you want a clean look and don’t need a high-performance setup. It’s perfect for factory horsepower street rods and cruisers.
No need to trawl marketplace for an original 9” housing only to find out that it may cost almost as much to clean up, narrow or shorten as one of our brand new Ford 9” housings.
